Experienced Insurance Credit Controller 

We are looking for a full time, experienced credit controller to join our Operations Team looking after the day to day running of the business.  We work on behalf of (Re)Insurers, investigating and adjusting losses around the world.  The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the insurance industry and specifically the Lloyds ECF system through which Insurers process payments to Loss Adjusters.

Invoicing (Re)Insurers, who are part of a subscription market, is a specialised activity and this role will require attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to build up relationships with the Brokers and Insurers we deal with.   Although you will be working as part of our team, you must be self motivated and, after a probationary period, be able to work without supervision.

Our Operations team is based in Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex where, initially, you will be required to work full time.  However, after a successful probationary period, there will be the opportunity to work some days during the week from your home office. On an intermittent basis you will be asked to work from the London office.

The role will involve

  • Gathering the Market breakdown / ‘mudmap’ information from Brokers and (Re)Insurers.
  • Peer Reviewing then issuing of invoices to (Re)Insurers
  • Collecting and chasing fees from Insurers
  • Tracking receipts and reconciling accounts
  • Maintenance of electronic files
  • Establishing business relationships with Loss Adjusting colleagues, (Re)Insurers and Brokers

Skills required for this role

  • Experience of the Insurance Industry including the Lloyds London Market and ECF.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to development relationships with our clients and colleagues in the Industry
  • Experience working with Excel and File Sharing platforms such as Dropbox
  • Ability to deal, particularly when different currencies and rates of exchange are involved in preparing an invoice.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Salary £25,000 to £28,000 based on experience.

We will ask for two references if you are successful at interview.
