Biography

Ewan began his professional life as a graduate chartered quantity surveyor in 1977. In 1979 he moved into loss adjusting, ultimately serving as Managing Director of International Adjusters Partnership/Cunningham IAP, Thomas Howell Group; Technical & Specialist Services Company and IRISC Technical Services.

In 1998 Ewan established Integra Technical Services which operates in the area of complex technical lines claims in property, casualty and marine insurance. Ewan has pioneered the development of innovative strategies for handling and fast tracking the settlement of major and complex losses, particularly in construction, power generation and the process industries.

Biography

Originally an English and History Secondary School teacher by trade, Torben commenced his Loss Adjusting career in South Africa over 20 years ago.

In the early years Torben was fortunate to be exposed to claims across the entire spectrum, enabling him to develop a solid set of the fundamental skills required to progress to more complex and higher value claim investigations.

Over the past 16 years, Torben has investigated and managed a wide range of claim assessments ranging from large/complex property fire losses to public disorder/malicious damage/criminal incidents during periods of political unrest in South Africa and a significant marine impact damage claim involving a Vessel colliding with a harbour wall/associated equipment.

This experience gained across two continents (South Africa 2000 to 2017 and Australia 2017 to present) has provided Torben with a significant perspective on major/complex losses, and the diverse skills required to manage such losses.

Torben promotes an open, honest and transparent approach to claim investigations acknowledging the important of all the stakeholders on a claim and the critical significance of regular communication/interaction between all parties.

Biography

Tony began his career in insurance as a loss adjuster based in the United Kingdom in the early 1990s, qualifying both as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (FCILA). He later moved into international loss adjusting in 2004, initially as home-based foreign adjuster working from London before permanently relocating overseas in 2006. He has lived in Asia since 2007 and has lived in Singapore since 2011.

Tony has held a number of senior positions within loss adjusting firms and has handled claims in over 25 countries, across business lines including Construction, Product Liability, Property, Financial Lines, and Professional Indemnity.

He is a founding committee member of the Asia Power Forum and a founding member of the Construction and Engineering workgroup of the General Insurance Association in Singapore.

He joined Integra in July 2021 as Managing Director for the Asia region.

Biography

Phil has over 32 years of experience in the property insurance industry. In 1987 he started his career as a Risk Engineering Specialist with FM Global where he obtained his Professional Engineering License and performed risk analysis and inspections of various industry properties including Mining, Power Generation, Gas Transmission, Minerals Conversion/Processing, Manufacturing and others.

In 1992 he transitioned into FM Global’s Loss Adjusting Group handling large complex claims in the industries outlined above. Phil was also part of their CAT team responding to most of the larger Catastrophe events in the US and Caribbean during his 13- year tenure as a field adjuster. In 2006 Phil took a position with Liberty Mutual Property as an Executive General Adjuster. Phil then moved to Zurich North America in 2007 as an AVP, Executive General Adjuster in Large Loss Property Claims directly handling large complex claims under All Risk and Builder’s Risk policies.

In 2011 he then moved into the Zurich Energy Claims Unit managing energy claims in Oil & Gas (offshore & onshore), Power Generation (fossil & renewable), Mining and Petrochemical industries. In 2018 to 2019 Phil was managing a group of Zurich Executive General Adjusters as an AVP Senior Property Claims Manager.

Other responsibilities included preparing and presenting Time Element and policy training courses/workshops to insureds, brokers, underwriters and claim representatives, and working with Underwriters and broker partners on policy wording development for various industry sectors including Power Generation, Renewable Energy and Healthcare.

Biography

Nick is a chartered engineer with specialist knowledge of dealing with traditional and renewable power generation, including coal, nuclear, hydroelectric, wind and solar on both construction and operational policies.

Having graduated with a PhD in engineering and material science, he worked as a research engineer conducting failure analysis of gas turbines for a turbine manufacturer and the Ministry of Defence. He then spent several years working as a consultant in failure investigation and remaining life assessment for owners, operators, and insurers.

Biography

Keith’s career began in the 1990’s in the residential and commercial construction management space, but turned to the oil field when he joined Schlumberger in their Drilling & Measurements division. He began as a Measurement While Drilling (MWD) Specialist who quickly learned to drill wells with Rotary Steerable equipment. During his time in the field Keith encountered many pressure control situations, both onshore and offshore while drilling in under balanced conditions. During this period Keith gained experience in all aspects of well completion and production operations. Matthew began his insurance career in 2009, working for a UK General Insurer as a Claims Investigator.  He was exposed to ML, EL & PL claims as well as third-party property damage claims, occurring across London and the South-East.  He then moved into Loss Adjusting in 2014, investigating claims on a cradle to grave basis in both injury and third-party property damage, including underground services, escape of water, fire, accidental damage and impact.

In Matthew’s previous position, he worked in conjunction with his Utility Colleagues, assisting statutory water undertakers with clean and foul water claims, working to limit clients claims spend by proactively manging customers claims, he has also led two major incidents involving the management of partners, contractors and suppliers.

Biography

Tony began his career in insurance as a loss adjuster based in the United Kingdom in the early 1990s, qualifying both as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (FCILA). He later moved into international loss adjusting in 2004, initially as home-based foreign adjuster working from London before permanently relocating overseas in 2006. He has lived in Asia since 2007 and has lived in Singapore since 2011.

Tony has held a number of senior positions within loss adjusting firms and has handled claims in over 25 countries, across business lines including Construction, Product Liability, Property, Financial Lines, and Professional Indemnity.

He is a founding committee member of the Asia Power Forum and a founding member of the Construction and Engineering workgroup of the General Insurance Association in Singapore.

He joined Integra in July 2021 as Managing Director for the Asia region.

Ray is an experienced cyber security professional who has been in the Information security industry for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in multiple IT disciplines and is highly effective at understanding and managing the relationships.

Ray has previously held roles with law enforcement responsibilities, security incident response, and security leadership roles working across various industries in Government and the Private Sector.

He is an active member, Board Director and Securit, and mentor for the New Zealand Internet Task Force whose primary focus in to safeguard New Zealand.

Biography

In a career of over 25 years, Daniel has worked as an Engineer and Manager in the power industry, and as a Risk Engineer, Underwriter and Manager in the insurance industry.

In the power industry, Daniel was involved in the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of coal fired and gas fired power plants. His experience in this sector was gained working with a State Owned Utility, an Independent Power Producer, several Contractors, and an Integrated Energy Company.

As a Risk Engineer, Daniel was focussed on the identification, quantification and management of risks associated with power generation, transmission and distribution in Australia, New Zealand and Asia for a leading global Insurer. During this time Daniel inspected over 100 power facilities and prepared detailed underwriting reports and risk improvement recommendation reports.

Ewan began his professional life as a graduate chartered quantity surveyor in 1977. Biography

Ben joined Integra in June 2024 with over 12 years of loss adjusting experience gained investigating and settling claims from a variety of different sectors including onshore and offshore oil and gas, conventional power generation, as well as renewable energy and builders risk / construction losses globally.  His experience also includes marine and specialty offshore subsea and ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) claims throughout the Americas and a number of liability claims in the US.

Biography

Patrick began working as a loss adjuster following the 1985 earthquake in Chile. After taking time off to complete the CII diploma course at the Chartered Insurance Institute college in Sevenoaks, Patrick continued to work for multinational firms of loss adjusters, initially as part of their CAT teams following hurricanes Gilbert and Hugo. He was then transferred to Spain, following which he moved to London, where he was the liaison adjuster for the firm’s offices in Latin America. Biography

Eoin has over 35 years’ insurance experience, starting his career working in claims for insurance companies, handling all commercial classes including liability, financial lines and marine, with brief spells in underwriting and broking. He later joined a specialist commercial loss adjusting firm, focusing on high value, complex insurance claims and commercial disputes. While there, he studied law at University of Auckland, graduating with a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law in 2014.

In addition to his loss adjusting work, Eoin holds a practising certificate as a barrister and adjudicates and mediates disputes between clients and a statutory insurer. He has previously appeared as counsel in the District and High Courts and Waitingi Tribunal.

Biography

Stephen is a chartered civil engineer (CEng) with over 20 years international risk engineering experience gained through working for insurance and other financial services companies.

He joined Integra in April 2024 from Macquarie Group, where he was Construction Risk Division Director responsible for reviewing technical information and data, preparing risk summaries, and monitoring progress and risk management on construction projects.

Prior to Macquarie, Stephen spent 18 years in the London insurance market as a construction risk engineer working for Allianz, Zurich, and Starstone, and has significant prior civil engineering experience gained with contractors and clients on large UK and international projects.

Stephen is responsible for the provision of risk engineering services on global civil engineering, conducting thorough and systematic risk assessments and providing technical advice to clients on their risk management strategies.

Biography

Simon commenced his career at Babcock Energy in 1986 as a technician trainee. On completion of the training scheme, he held various positions, including design engineer, field service / commissioning engineer and lead design engineer, before transitioning into the insurance sector in 1995.
