Integra launches new aviation capability

Integra Technical Services (“Integra”), a leading global provider of specialty insurance loss adjusting and risk engineering business, launches new aviation claims management, adjusting and surveying capability in Latin America (LATAM).

Integra’s expanded aviation offering encompasses airlines, rotor wing and executive jets, including complex multi-engine passenger and cargo aircraft, aviation maintenance, product and manufacturing organisations, and airport operations.

The aviation team will be led by John Leonard, who joined Integra on 1st January as Regional Director, Aviation. John brings more than 35 years of aviation experience, including 13 years with British Airways as a licensed airframe and powerplant engineer, thereafter, obtaining a commercial pilot licence. The past two decades he worked for an international loss adjusting firm – 10 of those years spent working within Latin America. He will be responsible for developing Integra’s aviation proposition across the region and expansion further afield.

John is joined in the Mexico City office by Gerardo Martinez, Alberto Castro, Francisco Soto, and Valentina Giovini each bringing extensive technical and strong regional expertise

Gerardo Martinez is a seasoned aviation surveyor with more than 20 years’ experience at international loss adjusting firms. He began his career as an aeronautical and flight safety engineer.

Alberto Castro joins Integra after seven years as aviation loss adjuster in Latin America, following a senior role at Aeromexico. His experience spans airports, flight and ground operations, aircraft maintenance, and engine repairs.

Francisco Soto spent over a decade as an aeronautical engineer in aircraft maintenance, engineering and aviation project management with Mexican airline, Aeromexico. He transitioned into loss adjusting in 2024. His expertise includes heavy maintenance including four years in the United States where he participated in various international projects across the world, including the United Arab Emirates, Central America and Mexico.

Valentina Giovini has been managing a wide range of liability claims for the London Market and more latterly in Latin America for the last 13 years. During this time she has widened her knowledge to specialise in claims involving Airport Operators, Ground Handlers, Passenger & Third-Party Liability and air cargo. She is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.

The establishment of this specialist aviation and highly experienced team underscores Integra’s commitment to delivering high-quality technical expertise and responsive service to clients across the region

Ewan Cresswell, Chairman Integra commented, “Aviation is a sector that Integra has been monitoring for a couple of years and fits perfectly with the technical and complex line claims that we currently manage. I welcome John, Gerardo, Alberto, Francisco, and Valentina to Integra and look forward to working with them as we develop a claims handling and adjusting alternative for the domestic and reinsurance insurance markets.

John Leonard, Regional Director Aviation, Latin America, added “Leveraging Integra’s reputation for handling complex, technical claims with a highly experienced and well-known team will provide an unmatched offering in the LATAM region. The opportunity and support that Integra provides will allow us to strengthen and expand our expertise into new global territories, where global coverage is expected.
