Senior Financial Accountant
The role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance with local requirements, and support for strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position plays a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring accuracy and consistency across a truly international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounting across multiple international legal entities, currencies, and local tax requirements
- Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, month-end close, revenue reconciliation, and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
- Prepare statutory accounts and support year-end reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls and governance standards
- Ensure compliance with tax and local regulatory and statistical requirements
- Improve financial policies, controls, and procedures
- Provide financial insight through variance analysis and reconciliations
- Review profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Drive automation and efficiency across finance processes
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Present financial information to senior management
- Support cross-functional teams with financial insight and expertise
Key Requirements
- 3–7+ years of accounting or finance experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, modelling, and macros
- Experience using accounting systems
- Understanding of tax, VAT
- Basic understanding of international compliance requirements
